Vision Express has already published a participating store list naming 15 locations: 13 Vision Express branches and two Sunglass Gallery outlets. Its online catalog also lists a Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Optics configuration at PHP 37,990, giving buyers a specific retail price alongside the lower starting prices announced for the wider collection.
Meta and eyewear manufacturer EssilorLuxottica are introducing everyday Ray-Ban designs, frames intended for prescription wearers and two Oakley options aimed at active users. The glasses combine cameras, microphones and speakers with a connected smartphone, allowing wearers to take pictures, hear audio and use voice commands while keeping their hands free.
The launch details update the initial Philippine preview, which had no date or price and said an AI assistant called Muse would be unavailable. The announced assistant is Meta AI, with Tagalog support. The four named launch ranges also replace the earlier preview's narrower description of Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 and a camera-free Ray-Ban Meta Audio model.
What will each model cost?
The Philippine announcement gives the following starting prices. The amount a buyer pays can vary with the frame and lens configuration:
- Oakley Meta HSTN: PHP 34,149.
- Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3: PHP 34,933.
- Ray-Ban Meta Optics Gen 2: PHP 36,501.
- Oakley Meta Vanguard: PHP 42,661.
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 starting price is generally listed as PHP 34,933, although PHP 34,149 also appeared in launch coverage. Vision Express's PHP 37,990 listing applies to its named Wayfarer Optics configuration. It is PHP 3,057 above the PHP 34,933 entry figure, making the exact frame and lens selection worth checking before purchase.
Oakley Vanguard costs PHP 8,512 more than HSTN, using the announced starting figures. That premium buys a different sports package, including greater protection against water and dust, a wider camera view and connections to Garmin and Strava.
As of November 6, five configurations in the Vision Express online catalog were listed at PHP 37,990 each and marked sold out. Customers planning a store visit should confirm stock for their chosen size, color and lenses directly with the branch.
Where buyers can find the glasses
Vision Express names branches across Metro Manila and several other urban centers. Its list includes Ayala Alabang Town Center, Ayala Glorietta 2, Ayala Greenbelt, Ayala One Bonifacio High Street, Ayala Trinoma, Greenhills Mall, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall and SM North Edsa The Block.
Outside that group, the retailer lists Vision Express Nuvali, Ayala Center Cebu, SM Davao and SM Iloilo. Sunglass Gallery Mactan T1 and Mactan T2 complete the 15 locations. The network gives shoppers in Cebu, Davao and Iloilo an authorized option without having to travel to Metro Manila.
The wider Ray-Ban distribution announcement also names select SM Department Stores, Eye Society, Sunglass Haven and Ideal Vision Center branches, alongside Vision Express and Sunglass Gallery. Oakley Meta products are scheduled for select Oakley stores, G-Force stores and Ideal Vision Center locations.
Ray-Ban has a November 10 launch pop-up scheduled on the second floor of Building B's Fashion Hall at SM Megamall. Purchases at that event are set to include a complimentary Ray-Ban Meta tote bag.
What the Ray-Ban hardware offers
Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 is being introduced in Wayfarer, Aviator and Zena styles. The announced hardware includes a 12 megapixel camera, video recording at up to 3K resolution, two speakers, six microphones and 32 GB of storage. Higher video resolution captures more image detail, while the microphones collect the wearer's voice for calls and spoken commands.
Vision Express's Wayfarer product listing specifies photographs measuring 3,024 by 4,032 pixels and 3K video at 30 frames per second. It says the storage can hold more than 1,000 photos or more than 100 videos lasting 30 seconds each.
The speakers use an open ear design, meaning sound plays from the frames without earbuds covering the ear canal. A wearer can listen to music, podcasts or calls while still hearing surrounding sounds. Touch controls provide another way to operate the glasses alongside voice commands.
Ray-Ban Meta Optics Gen 2 adds Blayzer and Scriber frames aimed at prescription wearers. The range includes flexible nose pads and adjustable temple tips, details that matter for people who expect to wear the glasses for much of the day rather than only for occasional photography.
Tagalog AI arrives, while translation details need checking
Meta AI will support Tagalog prompts and commands in the Philippine release. That lets users speak to the assistant in a local language for supported tasks, rather than relying entirely on English. Announced functions across the collections include taking photos, handling calls, sending messages and asking about things the camera can see.
Visual AI uses an image from the glasses as part of a question. A wearer might ask about a building or request help reading a menu, and receive a spoken answer through the speakers. The camera supplies the visual information that a voice request alone cannot provide.
Vision Express advertises translation between English and more than 20 languages, including Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Tagalog support for talking to the assistant and support for translating a conversation are separate capabilities: speaking a command in Tagalog does not automatically mean Tagalog is included in every translation mode.
The complete Philippine feature list, including which live translation functions will be active at launch and whether travel to another supported market changes access, has not been fully detailed. Buyers who need a particular language or function should have the retailer confirm that exact capability before paying.
Oakley separates casual activity from sports training
Oakley Meta HSTN is the least expensive model in the announced Philippine lineup. It combines a 12 megapixel camera, speakers, 32 GB of storage and battery life of up to eight hours with a sports inspired frame. Selected versions include Oakley PRIZM lenses.
HSTN carries an IPX4 rating, which describes protection against splashes. The rating is useful for understanding the intended conditions of use: a splash resistant product needs different care from equipment with a stronger water protection rating.
Oakley Meta Vanguard targets running, cycling and outdoor training. Its 12 megapixel camera has a 122 degree field of view, allowing it to capture a broader scene in front of the wearer. The design also includes wind noise reduction and temples intended to work with helmets and hats.
Vanguard has an IP67 rating, covering dust protection and resistance to temporary immersion under specified test conditions. Garmin and Strava integrations connect the glasses with fitness services and activity information. These sports functions, rather than a longer list of everyday voice commands alone, explain much of its position at the top of the price range.
Battery figures and phone requirements matter
Vision Express gives two battery figures on its Wayfarer page: the description and detailed specifications say up to nine hours on one charge, while the feature summary and frequently asked questions say up to eight hours of mixed use. The retailer also says the charging case provides up to 48 additional hours and can recharge the glasses to 50 percent in about 20 minutes.
Battery claims describe maximum or stated usage conditions. Recording video, making calls and playing audio draw on the same battery, so a buyer planning frequent recording should pay attention to mixed use estimates as well as the headline figure.
The Wayfarer listing requires an iPhone running iOS 17 or later, or an Android phone running Android 10 or later, with the Meta AI app installed. Setup involves installing the app and following pairing instructions. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 are listed among its connections.
Compatibility needs checking for the exact model. The Optics Gen 2 specifications list newer minimum software versions, iOS 18.6 or Android 15. Someone whose phone meets the Wayfarer requirement may therefore need a different phone or software update for another frame in the collection.
Prescription lenses, warranty and recording controls
Vision Express says stores carrying Ray-Ban Meta can fit prescription or Transitions lenses to the listed Wayfarer Optics frame. Transitions lenses change their tint with light conditions, allowing one pair to serve different indoor and outdoor needs. The wider collection also includes clear, sun, polarized and blue light filter options, depending on the frame.
Local authorized retail gives buyers a direct place to arrange fitting and pursue warranty service. Vision Express states that its warranty covers manufacturing defects, but excludes wear and tear or mishandling. Buyers should establish the final lens price and service terms for their chosen configuration when ordering.
Vision Express says the camera records when the wearer presses the capture button, asks Meta AI to capture something or activates a capture mode. A light on the front illuminates during recording, and sharing requires the user to choose to share the material.
Camera use also affects people around the wearer. Offices, schools, shops and other venues may have rules about photography or recording, making permission and awareness of the setting part of everyday use. The recording indicator gives people nearby a visible signal when capture is active.
How the Philippine release fits the regional rollout
The Philippine launch follows the announced Thailand launch for October 20, 2026. That rollout covered the same four product ranges, with Thai starting prices from 16,290 baht for HSTN to 20,390 baht for Vanguard. Malaysia also received Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta through authorized retailers on October 20.
The sequence places the Philippines within a wider expansion of the glasses across regional optical and sports retail networks. For local shoppers, the practical change is access to named stores, fittings and warranty support, along with Tagalog interaction for Meta AI.
- October 20, 2026: Thai and Malaysian retail rollouts were scheduled to begin.
- November 6, 2026: Five Vision Express online configurations were listed at PHP 37,990 each and marked sold out.
- November 10, 2026: Authorized Philippine sales are scheduled to start, alongside the Ray-Ban pop-up at SM Megamall.
Philippine buyers now have a date, a retail network and a price range to work with. The most useful comparison is between the actual configurations on sale: everyday Ray-Ban styling, prescription focused Optics frames, the lower priced HSTN and Vanguard's more specialized sports equipment.
