The second Indian edition brings together 30 announced acts, including more than 10 with Indian roots. Burna Boy, Metro Boomin and Skepta are all scheduled to perform in India for the first time. American rapper Big Sean will also make his India debut on December 12.

Aujla provides the strongest connection to the inaugural edition in 2025, when he also headlined the closing night. His return places Punjabi music at the top of a festival that will also feature American rap, British grime, Nigerian Afrobeats and performers working in several Indian languages.

Rolling Loud is producing the event in partnership with District, where tickets are available. The festival is billed as open to all ages. Its Mumbai venue and detailed performance schedule have yet to be announced, with further information expected through the organisers' channels in the coming weeks.

For audiences, the announcement offers two different draws: a chance to see several international performers in India for the first time, and another headline appearance by an artist whose Punjabi releases have reached high positions on Canadian charts. Across both days, Indian performers appear alongside international names rather than being concentrated on a separate day.

Why Aujla's return matters

Aujla's first Rolling Loud India appearance included a guest performance by Canadian rapper NAV. The pair performed their remix of Daytona, originally a solo track on Aujla's album P-Pop Culture. That appearance connected his Punjabi catalogue with another part of Canada's rap scene.

P-Pop Culture debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart and recorded the highest streaming debut by a Punjabi language album in Canadian history. His more recent EP, Aujla Szn 1, entered the same albums chart at No. 7, while all five tracks reached the top 40 of the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.

Those results show two forms of chart success: listeners were playing a complete release, while individual songs also reached prominent positions. An EP is a release shorter than a typical album. In Aujla's case, every song on the five track project entered the singles chart's top 40.

His second headline booking follows those releases and his appearance at the festival's debut. Returning artists elsewhere on the 2026 bill include Robb Bank$, DJ Five Venoms and The Spindoctor, giving the new edition several connections to its first year.

Burna Boy and Metro Boomin close December 12

Burna Boy brings an Afrobeats presence to a festival centred on hip-hop. The Nigerian singer won the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album for Twice as Tall in 2021 and became the first African artist to headline a stadium in the United Kingdom.

His connection with Punjabi music predates this booking. Burna Boy collaborated with the late Sidhu Moose Wala on the 2023 song Mera Na and has paid tribute to him onstage. His Mumbai appearance will therefore bring an artist with an existing Punjabi collaboration to the same festival headlined by Aujla.

Metro Boomin arrives with a catalogue built through production work for Future, 21 Savage, Drake, Travis Scott and The Weeknd. A producer helps create a recording's musical foundation, including its beats, sounds and arrangement. Metro's first solo album, Not All Heroes Wear Capes, topped the Billboard 200 in 2018.

Big Sean joins them on the opening day, alongside GoldLink, Dhanda Nyoliwala, Slayr, ApolloRed1, Paal Dabba, SoSoCamo, Steel Banglez, Snappy Kaal and Jorjiana. That combination places American rappers and a British producer on the same daily bill as performers representing Haryanvi, Tamil and Gujarati rap.

Skepta's debut follows a planned album release

Skepta will share headline billing with Aujla on December 13. The British rapper helped take grime, a style of rap and electronic music that developed in London, to international audiences. His songs include Shutdown, That's Not Me and Greaze Mode.

His album The Fork and Knife is scheduled for release on November 6, 2026, just over five weeks before the festival. It is announced as his first solo album since Ignorance Is Bliss in 2019, a gap of seven years. The timing places his India debut shortly after a planned new release.

ScHoolboy Q is also scheduled for the second day. His catalogue includes Collard Greens and Man of the Year from the 2014 album Oxymoron, followed more recently by Blue Lips in 2024.

Delhi duo Seedhe Maut, BabyChiefDoIt, Wazir Patar, Raja Kumari and NAVZ-47 complete the announced core of the second day's supporting lineup. Raja Kumari is also preparing her sixth album, ZINDABAD: The DEKADE of Kumari.

Indian languages run through the lineup

More than 10 of the festival's 30 acts have Indian roots, placing that group at more than one third of the announced bill. Their bookings stretch from headline positions to supporting slots across both days.

Aujla and Wazir Patar represent Punjabi rap, while Dhanda Nyoliwala brings Haryanvi hip-hop. Paal Dabba performs in Tamil, MC Gawthi represents Marathi rap and Snappy Kaal adds Gujarati music. Seedhe Maut brings Delhi's rap scene to the second day.

The lineup also includes Vichaar, Shikriwal, Ravator, DJ EJ and 2slimey. Mary Ann Alexander is among the additional announced performers. Together, the selections give audiences opportunities to hear artists working across languages, regions and different stages of their careers.

Indian roots and an Indian home base are different things within this bill. Aujla and NAVZ-47 are Canadian artists, while Raja Kumari is Indian American. The festival combines performers from Indian cities with artists whose music connects India to communities abroad.

Organisers point to audiences at small shows

Rolling Loud co-founder and CEO Matt Zingler said the response at the first Indian edition helped shape the approach to the second. He described audiences as willing to follow music across the divisions between international and Indian acts.

One thing that really stood out to us in India was how open the fans were to everything. If the music connects, they show up for it.

District CEO Rahul Ganjoo said the team also looked beyond online popularity when choosing performers. His explanation focused on cyphers, gatherings where rappers take turns performing, and smaller concerts where listeners support artists in person.

Hip-hop in India has always moved through cyphers, small shows, and people putting each other on, and that's where we looked when we built this year's bill.

Ganjoo said crowds at the first edition stayed for Indian performances as well as international sets. That observation helps explain the 2026 arrangement: regional artists appear throughout the weekend, alongside the visiting stars, rather than forming a separate part of the event.

Tamil Canadian rapper NAVZ-47 is scheduled to perform on December 13 while working on her debut album, Fresh Off the Boat. Her appearance adds another language and another Canadian connection to the second day's lineup.

She becomes one of five Canadian artists to have appeared at Rolling Loud India across its first two editions. Aujla, NAV, AR Paisley and Gurinder Gill appeared in 2025, with Aujla returning this year.

Aujla's chart results and NAVZ-47's booking bring two different career stages into the same festival. One returns as a headliner with recent Canadian chart success; the other joins the bill while preparing a debut album. Their presence also shows how the festival's Indian music connections extend beyond performers living in India.

Tickets have separate payment and refund options

District's Reserve Now, Pay Later option allows buyers to secure tickets by paying 50% of the ticket value upfront. The remaining 50% must be paid by 11:59 p.m. on November 20, 2026, before the festival begins on December 12.

The app also offers a Refund Guaranteed feature, which refunds the ticket value for eligible bookings cancelled by December 1. The announced terms describe that feature as available to buyers who have not selected the Pay 50% and Reserve option. Buyers therefore need to check which arrangement applies to their booking before choosing how to pay.

District is both the ticket platform and a production partner for the event. Announced festival partners also include Budweiser 0.0, SHEIN and HSBC India.
