Two Stadium Shows Will Reach Cinema Audiences Worldwide

BTS will bring two concerts from its ARIRANG world tour to cinemas across more than 80 countries and regions, with the November 21, 2026 performance in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, scheduled for about 3,300 screens and the December 29 finale in Jakarta for about 2,800. BigHit Music announced the screenings on November 3 through the fan community platform Weverse.

For fans in Indonesia, cinema tickets are listed from Rp450,000, with sales opening on November 5 at 20:00 WIB, the time used in Jakarta and western Indonesia. The Jakarta screening is scheduled for December 29 at 18:45 WIB, bringing the final performance at Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno to audiences beyond the stadium.

BigHit Music said the broadcasts would follow different schedules around the world. Some cinemas will show the performances live, while others will screen them one or two days later because of time zone differences. A ticket for a cinema screening therefore needs to be checked against the local viewing date, rather than just the date of the concert.

The screenings accompany an Asian tour schedule of 15 performances across five cities: Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Jakarta. Only two of those performances have been announced for this cinema release. The selected concerts fall near opposite ends of the regional schedule, with Kaohsiung opening the Asian leg in November and Jakarta closing it in December.

Which Performances Are Being Screened?

BigHit Music identified the November 21 Kaohsiung concert as the second performance in that city. BTS is scheduled to play Kaohsiung National Stadium on November 19, 21 and 22. An Indonesian screening description lists November 21 as the first of two viewing sessions, followed by November 22; it does not identify the selected concert as the first performance in the city.

Jakarta has three concerts scheduled at Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno, on December 26, 27 and 29. The cinema broadcast will feature only the December 29 performance, the last concert of the Asian leg.

The two screenings give audiences a choice between different stops on the same tour. They are separate performances in different cities, rather than two broadcasts of a single concert. No details have been announced here about differences in songs, staging or running time between the selected shows.

Indonesia Tickets Open on November 5

Indonesian ticket sales are scheduled to begin on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 20:00 WIB. The listed price starts at Rp450,000. CGV and Cinepolis will sell tickets through their websites and apps, giving fans specific purchase channels ahead of the November and December screenings.

CGV and Cinepolis are listed as participating cinema chains in Indonesia. CGV's Instagram announcement promoted the ARIRANG live viewing, with tickets reported to start at Rp450,000 and sales opening on November 5 at 20:00 WIB through both chains' websites and apps. The named CGV locations include Grand Indonesia, Central Park, Teras Kota, Pakuwon Mall Jogja, BG Junction, Paris Van Java, Transmart Pekanbaru, Panakkukang Square, Social Market and Focal Point.

For Indonesian viewers, the Kaohsiung screening timetable lists Saturday, November 21, at 17:45 WIB and Sunday, November 22, at 11:00 WIB. The Jakarta live viewing is listed for Tuesday, December 29, at 18:45 WIB.

The Indonesian listing also gives a conflicting Jakarta screening date of November 29, 2026, at 18:45 WIB, rather than December 29. That November date does not match the December 26, 27 and 29 stadium schedule or the December 29 finale identified for the cinema broadcast.

The November 22 option gives Indonesian audiences another scheduled opportunity to watch the Kaohsiung performance after its November 21 concert date. Fans choosing between sessions will need to match the city named on the ticket with the date and time shown by their cinema.

Why Some Audiences Will Watch Later

BigHit Music said time zones would determine whether a cinema carries a live transmission or a delayed screening. A concert taking place in the evening in Taiwan or Indonesia can fall at a much less convenient hour elsewhere. Moving a screening to another local date allows cinemas to schedule it for their own audiences.

A live viewing means the cinema receives the performance as it happens. A delayed viewing shows the recorded performance later. Both formats are included in the announced global release, so the phrase live viewing will sit alongside schedules that, in some places, run one or two days after the stadium concert.

South Korean audiences will be able to attend screenings at CGV, Lotte Cinema and Megabox. Ticket sales there are scheduled to open on Thursday at 10:00 local time. A general international sales time of 22:00 on the same day was also listed, without a time zone specified; Indonesia has the more precise local announcement of November 5 at 20:00 WIB.

The Asian Tour, Date by Date

Kaohsiung opens the Asian leg on November 19, followed by stops in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The complete schedule contains 15 concerts, with Singapore hosting four, the largest number among the five cities.

  • November 19, 21 and 22: Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The November 21 concert is selected for cinema screenings.
  • December 3, 5 and 6: Bangkok, Thailand.
  • December 12 and 13: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  • December 17, 19, 20 and 22: Singapore.
  • December 26, 27 and 29: Jakarta, Indonesia. The December 29 finale is selected for cinema screenings.

The route moves through five markets over roughly six weeks. Jakarta's position at the end means its cinema audience will watch the performance that closes this regional run, while viewers of the Kaohsiung screening will see BTS near its beginning.

How Large Is the Cinema Release?

Kaohsiung is scheduled for about 3,300 cinema screens worldwide, compared with about 2,800 for Jakarta. The difference is approximately 500 screens, putting the announced Jakarta footprint at about 85 percent of Kaohsiung's.

Together, the two releases amount to approximately 6,100 screen bookings across the two concert dates. The same cinema may participate in both, so the figures describe the scale of each release rather than a combined count of unique venues.

Screen totals also give a different kind of measure from stadium attendance. A screen is one auditorium showing the concert, while attendance counts people. The announced figures provide the planned reach of the broadcasts; cinema audience totals will depend on the locations, auditorium sizes and tickets sold.

South America Drew 853,000 Concertgoers

BTS enters the Asian schedule after completing 14 sold out performances in five South American cities. Those concerts attracted a combined 853,000 spectators, and the regional run finished in Sao Paulo in late October.

That total works out to an average of about 60,900 spectators per performance, calculated by dividing 853,000 by 14. Individual concert crowds may have varied, but the average gives a sense of the scale of the stadium audiences before the tour reaches Asia.

The Asian leg has one more scheduled performance than the South American run, with 15 concerts rather than 14, while both cover five cities. Attendance figures for the Asian concerts have yet to be announced.

Jakarta Joins BTS's Cinema Concert History

BTS has previously brought performances in Busan, Tokyo, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo to cinemas. The Kaohsiung and Jakarta broadcasts continue that approach, allowing people to attend a shared screening without travelling to the concert city.

For Jakarta, the December 29 broadcast extends the audience for the last of three stadium dates to viewers around the world. For Indonesian fans attending cinemas, it also creates a local viewing option alongside the concerts at Gelora Bung Karno.

The immediate dates to watch are November 5 for Indonesian ticket sales and November 21 for the first selected performance. Cinema schedules will determine the actual viewing date in each market, with Jakarta's final show following on December 29.
