A giant mechanical opening for three nights in Singapore
Two robots standing 30 metres tall will greet audiences at Jay Chou's National Stadium concerts from January 8 to 10, 2027, before disappearing to reveal a massive mechanical structure, according to Taiwanese concert director Ju Pao. Fire and water effects are also planned for the three Singapore performances of Chou's Carnival II World Tour.

The production brings a new identity to Chou's ninth tour, which began in Hangzhou in April 2026. Singapore's stop is called Sunny Day Singapore, taking its name from Sunny Day, the song on his 2003 album Yeh Hui-Mei. The city gets its own theme within a tour designed to give each destination a distinct connection to his music.
For fans planning to attend, the spectacle comes with a detailed ticketing timetable. Singapore Airlines has scheduled a KrisFlyer priority sale for May 19, 2026, with registration from May 4 to 10. Cash ticket prices run from S$238 to S$398 before booking fees, while selected categories can also be redeemed using KrisFlyer miles.
Horizon Production is the promoter, and KrisFlyer is the official lifestyle rewards partner. The National Stadium performances combine a celebration of Chou's career with a new stage design, updated visuals and a mix of familiar songs and newer material.
What the robots reveal about the production
Ju Pao's description gives the clearest glimpse of the concert's opening visual sequence: two towering figures, their disappearance and the unveiling of machinery behind them. At 30 metres, the robots are intended to be a major part of what spectators see when they enter the stadium.
The director also identified fire and water as elements of the show. How the robots will disappear and when the effects will appear during the performance have not been detailed.
The venue's official event listing describes a newly conceived giant stage, innovative structures and changes across props, lighting, effects and visuals. Ju Pao's account adds specific features to that broader production description.
Chou's concerts are also known for audience song requests. Alongside the elaborate stage sequences, that tradition gives the performances a more personal dimension, with attention shifting from the machinery to the interaction between the singer and his fans.
Why Singapore gets the Sunny Day theme
Sunny Day Singapore follows the tour's One City, One Theme concept. Each stop is paired with a song, giving the destination its own musical identity within the larger Carnival II production.
The Singapore theme draws on a song released more than two decades before these concerts. Chou wrote both the music and lyrics for Sunny Day, which appeared on Yeh Hui-Mei in 2003. For longtime listeners, the choice connects the new production with an earlier period of his career.
The official event description links the theme to Singapore's changing skies, where showers give way to sunshine. It also connects the song with memories of youth and the experience of carrying those memories into the present. That is the creative framing chosen for the Singapore shows.
Chou debuted in 2000, and the concert is billed as a celebration of 25 years of his career. The planned combination of classic songs and fresh tracks places that history alongside his current work, rather than making the evening solely a return to older hits.
Tickets range from S$238 to S$398
Singapore Airlines' concert ticketing page lists five cash ticket categories for the KrisFlyer priority sale. All prices are in Singapore dollars and exclude applicable booking fees.
- Category 1: S$398.
- Category 2: S$358.
- Category 3: S$318.
- Category 4: S$278.
- Category 5: S$238.
The difference between the highest and lowest listed prices is S$160 per ticket. A pair therefore costs between S$476 and S$796 before booking fees, depending on the category selected.
The cash priority sale runs through Ticketmaster Singapore from 10am to 11.59pm on May 19, 2026, Singapore time. Payment for this sale must be made with a Mastercard credit or debit card.
Each unique access code permits purchases of up to six tickets per concert date. Ticketmaster will allocate the best available tickets matching the buyer's selected category, section and quantity. Receiving a code gives an opportunity to buy, with purchases subject to remaining inventory.
The registration dates fans need to track
KrisFlyer priority access requires more than holding a membership on the day tickets go on sale. Eligible accounts must have been created on or before May 3, 2026, at 11.59pm Singapore time. Members must also subscribe to KrisFlyer and Singapore Airlines Group promotional emails and complete registration through Kris+.
The sequence runs from membership eligibility in early May to the concerts the following January:
- April 2026: Carnival II begins in Hangzhou.
- May 3, 2026, 11.59pm: Deadline for account creation to qualify for the KrisFlyer priority sale.
- May 4, 2026, noon: Registration opens in the Kris+ app.
- May 10, 2026, 11.59pm: Registration closes.
- May 17, 2026, 11.59pm: Deadline for eligible registered members to receive their access codes.
- May 19, 2026: Priority ticket sales and miles redemptions open.
- January 8 to 10, 2027: Three concerts take place at the National Stadium.
In Kris+, members register through the Jay Chou SG Priority Sale Registration challenge. Successful registration changes the challenge button from Start Now to Rewarded. Access codes are then added to the app's Promo Codes wallet, with an email containing the code and Ticketmaster sale link.
Buyers also need a valid, verified Ticketmaster account. The sale uses Ticketmaster's Smart Queue, which the airline describes as a system intended to keep automated buying bots out. Fans may join queues for more than one concert date.
How the miles option works
KrisFlyer members can use miles instead of cash through KrisFlyer Experiences powered by Pelago. Redemptions cover Categories 1 to 4 and must be made for two or four tickets, making this a different purchasing route from selecting an individual cash ticket.
The published redemption rates are 82,000 miles per pair for Category 1, 74,000 for Category 2, 66,000 for Category 3 and 58,000 for Category 4. Expressed per seat, those rates equal 41,000, 37,000, 33,000 and 29,000 miles respectively, although tickets must still be redeemed in the required quantities.
Redemptions open at 10am on May 19 for Solitaire PPS Club members, Solitaire PPS Club supplementary cardholders, PPS Club members and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members. Other KrisFlyer members, including Elite Silver members, can redeem from noon that day. All times are Singapore time.
Tickets will be available only on mobile devices and accessible through the Ticketmaster website 14 days before the concert. The lead purchaser's name, meaning the name of the Ticketmaster account holder who completes the transaction, will appear on all tickets.
The working relationship behind the show
Ju Pao, known for directing Chou's large concert productions, describes their working relationship as an unspoken mutual understanding. He says a look from Chou can often tell him what the singer wants.
That familiarity sits alongside close attention to production details. Ju Pao describes Chou as proactive and driven, and says he needs to know every part of the show to answer the singer's questions.
The planned Singapore production brings those responsibilities together: a large mechanical reveal, fire and water effects, lighting, visuals and the performance itself. The director's account presents Chou as closely involved in the decisions behind what audiences eventually see.
A smaller stage on Queen Street
Ju Pao also serves as show director at The Ooooone, a new livehouse on Queen Street in Singapore. A livehouse is a venue built around live musical performances; this one combines those performances with dining.
The 5,500 square foot venue has a main hall and three private karaoke rooms, with capacity for 250 guests. Its programme is set to include themed performances, holographic effects and guest artistes.
The Ooooone gives Ju Pao a setting very different from the National Stadium: a smaller audience, dining alongside entertainment and private rooms as well as a main performance space. Ju Pao says the concept may expand to Shanghai and Canada, although those locations remain possible extensions of the business.
